Description:

We're off to see the Wizard! Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. After a tornado whisks her away to the magical land of Oz, she starts her quest to find the mighty Wizard who has the power to send her home. This winter, join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto on their adventure down the yellow brick road – but watch out for the nasty Wicked Witch!

Featuring classic songs like “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead,” “If I Only Had a Brain,” and “Over the Rainbow,” this charming and faithful adaptation of the beloved 1939 film is sure to warm audiences and remind them that there really is no place like home!

Students are only permitted to miss up to two days of the rehearsal schedule listed below. If you will miss portions or all of three or more days of this rehearsal schedule, you will not be able to audition for the show. Not all cast will be called to every rehearsal, but we do our best to build rehearsal calls around student conflicts. A detailed rehearsal schedule with specific cast calls will be given out at the first parent meeting.

A mix of bravado and cowardice. Cuddly.

Almira Gultch/Wicked Witch of the West

An over-the-top witch with a killer cackle.

Older father figure with an eccentric flair.
