Description

Acting Academy One Acts will give students the opportunity to work on acting technique with slightly shorter scripts giving them the opportunity to master their characters and material. Students will be introduced to essential acting techniques through improv, theater games and acting exercises. Students will apply what they are learning in an extended showcase of the one-acts at the Academy Festival. 

The cost for Academy is $325 per session ($250 covers class tuition, plus an additional $75 fee per session for performance rights, artistic/tech team, performance space).
Prerequisite: AUDITION ONLY - Auditions for 2024-2025 are closed

Ashley Love

Ashley has her B.S. in Performance Pedagogy and an M.A. in Performance Studies from Bob Jones University. After grad school she taught junior high and high school English, theatre, and public speaking for ten years at a private school in South Carolina. During these years, she started a theatre program at her school and directed and coached over eighteen youth productions, while also co-founding a children’s theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC. She recently received her M.F.A. degree in Theatre Pedagogy at Virginia Commonwealth University.
